Friends of the Little Spokane River Valley held our annual cleanup day on April 23, 2022. We had about 25-30 people meet at Moose Park and help pick up garbage throughout the valley. We covered Shady Slope, Little Spokane Dr. from Dartford to Perry Rd., Midway Rd., Wandermere Rd., Hatch Rd., Colbert Rd. and Dartford Rd. We collected a slightly smaller volume, but quite a large variety of trash items.
Following the cleanup, many of us met at Haggin’s house for the annual chili feed and fellowship with our neighbors. A big thank you to those who provided the chili, cornbread, and cookies.
Thank you to all who pitched in to help this year including Sgt. Atchison and his work crew from the county corrections department for hauling the trash away.
